Hydrogen peroxide is used as an aid to help prevent the risk of infection in minor wounds, cuts, scrapes or burns.
Use Hydrogen peroxide exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.
This medicine is available as a spray, wipes, or as a solution.
Clean the affected area before application of Hydrogen peroxide spray, wipes or solution.
If you are using the spray, hold the container away from your face when opening. Apply this medicine by spraying it over the affected area.
If you are using the wipes, apply the medicine on the affected area 1-3 times a day or as instructed by the doctor.
If you are using the solution, apply a small amount of the medicine on the affected area.
Avoid any contact of this medicine with your eyes. If an accidental contact occurs, rinse it immediately with water. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyes.
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
Do not use Hydrogen peroxide on deep wounds, surgical wounds or on large areas of the body.
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Handle Hydrogen peroxide with care as it may bleach fabric.
Hydrogen peroxide may cause any of the following side effects: redness, stinging sensation, swelling or itching of the skin.
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Avoid alcohol.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Protect from light.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
